Pictures posted 01/14/08.  Hunter is 10, Devin is two years old, and baby Bryce is 8 months old!

I think this is the least amount of pictures I've ever taken!

Bryce has been showing some crawling potential!  While sitting, he'll bounce on his bum and hold himself up with his hands a little bit before he flops down on his belly.  We've been putting balls in front of him sitting on his knees.  He's been enjoying that, until Devin comes and steals his ball; Devin, no swiping!  (Any Dora The Explorer watchers out there?  :) )

In the top picture you can see, especially on Devin, Hunter's a little dark, but they both were in dire need of haircuts!  Devin's was so long, it would spike up after being rubbed with a towel after bath!  Hunter's gets real thick on the top and he gets bad cases of bed head in the mornings!

We visit the same salon each time when they are with me.  Sometimes they are both done at the same time, if not, one lady, who actually wasn't there that day, does their hair and remembers their names and what size clippers I like on the sides.

Bryce is, after the first few sucks, happily gnawing on a pickle.  We went out to eat for lunch and I hadn't brought a biscuit and the fries and chicken from the boys' plates broke up too easily, so we gave him a pickle.

I've arranged my sun room/computer room into a craft room as well.  My wonderful hubby gave me a serger (type of sewing machine) for Christmas and I've been using it a lot; hence the lack of pictures from the last two weeks!  I've been practicing with it and making cloth diapers.  Devin found some yarn in the room, and if it had been any other color than pink, I would have taken it away, but, alas, my hubby's family can't seem to produce any girls!

Devin was tossing the yarn to Bryce and then he'd slowly reel it in.  Of course he'd pull out more yarn over the distance back to him, but it kept him and his brother entertained for awhile.

Hunter prefers bagels and cream cheese for breakfast these days, so that's what Devin wants to eat as well!  Neither have had cereal and milk for ages, so that's what I've been eating.  Devin is still insisting on nothing but Sunny D in his sippy.  He is showing interest in using a cup, so I've been giving him drinks of water using the smaller, reusable Dixie style cups in the bathroom.  He does a real good job, actually.  However, not such a great job with the pops his dad tends to leave behind with the drink still inside!  Devin spills that all down his front and onto the floor!

Another picture of Devin before his hair cut.  He's standing in front of our fire place (wood pellet and dried cherry pit fueled) downstairs.  Most of the toys are down there, so we play there often, plus it's the warmest room in the house!  Since we are using it to heat our home, it sometimes gets too warm and I might strip the boys down to their diapers!

Here is Devin's room at the moment.  Some day we'll get him a real bed, but right now, the crib missing a side is doing a great job.  That's actually what we did with Hunter for awhile.  Santa brought him the car play rug and that horse was his Grandma Judy's, who left us in early 2003.

This isn't the best of pictures, but I captured my hubby eating a slice of raisin bread, baked in the bread maker I got for Christmas (Thanks, Kath!) and sharing with Devin and Bryce.  Devin does a good job of asking for a piece, but Bryce?   He was trying to climb up his da-da's lap for a bite!  We have started to share small bites of select table food with him.

We can hear the bus pull up every day, and Devin happily exclaims that Hunter is home.  He waves and says, Hi, Hunter!, until Hunter disappears into the open garage door below.  His driver will not let him off the bus unless the garage door is open and she can see my van or I appear at the front door.

My boys, life is good!

Another picture at the same time, and Hunter had to have his "friends" in the shot.  He also wouldn't look at me.  Devin and Bryce are both hams and make up for Hunter's lack of enthusiasm.

Teething biscuits make Bryce very happy!  He has the two teeth on the bottom and for awhile now his top eye teeth have been breaking through; they are maybe a quarter of the way out now.  But, he's not going to be Vampire Baby much longer!  We can see his top front teeth will soon be making their appearance!  I'll try to remember and get a picture for next week.

Devin has to be right with Hunter, it's hard to get him to sit in his own chair!  This time Hunter didn't seem to mind.  He's playing with the "boogers" his cousins, Rayne and Randi, gave him for Christmas.

This smart toy was given to Devin for Christmas.  It looks like a marker, but it is only water.  You fill the pen with water (and there is also a pad with a hand stamp) and he can draw until the water is gone!  It's only one color, but Devin doesn't seem to mind.

These were taken while we were eating the birthday ice cream cake Tim brought me home.  He got me a fancy cell phone.

Bryce is a little whited out here, sorry about that, but I wanted to capture both my babies napping on the furniture.

Devin is tumbling off the recliner here.  He loves to jump on and off the furniture, or jump from couch to recliner.  He shakes the house but he's very good at jumping.

But other times, the recliner is his bed for the night.  I didn't take any other pictures of him like this, but he is still waking at night and we most often find him here, or on one of the two couches, or on the floor.

Bryce is 8 months old today! (Monday) My, oh, my how time flies!  He's over 20 pounds and has two teeth on the bottom and four making their way through up top.  He is still nursing for his meals and snacks, but has shown great interest in the food we put in our  mouths, so he's been having some of that, too.

This is the latest diaper I've made.  I've made some others that I've shared with my family members as I practiced on my serger.  I was interested in this one as it's a "one size fits most" and is secured closed with a single pin.  I use what's called a snappi, Velcro like fasteners and snaps, so this pin idea is different for me.  I need to work with the fit as the front piece is flapping down, and as Devin jumps around, it starts sagging in the bum.  To put in on Bryce, I'd just have to fold down the rise and tuck in the wings.

I'd like to say I knitted these, but I didn't.  I have some wool ready to go, but haven't started yet.  These I got from another mama on a message board I frequent.  They can be used as a cover for a fitted diaper (a cloth diaper that's not waterproof) or just to keep little legs warm!  He's "fishing" down our stairs.

Here are a few highlights with no pictures:

I don't remember what they were watching downstairs on the television, but it involved music and Devin was dancing in place to the beat.  Hunter happened to be behind Devin's dancing feet, and instead of asking Devin to please move, he slowly, like maybe nobody will notice, extended his foot and tripped him!  Devin wasn't hurt, but he stood up and scowled at his brother and said, Hunter, no do that!

Devin might have done the following in retaliation!  With the installation of our new fire place, Tim put in a few more floor vents, one is in the hallway that is above the family room where we play and watch movies.  When's it's real cold, we take the top off the vent to get more heat upstairs.  Devin was laying on his belly at the floor vent and was shining his flashlight down on Hunter below!  It took Hunter a few minutes to realize what was going on!

Bryce.  Oh my, Bryce baby.  This happened not long after our return from Michigan for the holidays.  Bryce sleeps on my side of our king sized bed.  It was about 6:00 a.m. on a day Tim was still off for the holiday when Bryce woke us up with a dirty diaper and some gas.  We gave him a few more minutes to make sure he was done and while I took the diaper off, Tim got some wipes and a new diaper.  Bryce was still grunting a little bit, and hubby and I spoke of helping him relieve the bubbles with some gas drops.

Suddenly we realize our error; Bryce wasn't done pooping at all, and it came exploding out of his bum and onto my shirt, legs and the sheet underneath me.  Tim and I were both stunned speechless, and then Tim broke out laughing hysterically while my jaw flapped pointlessly in the wind.  Finally I said I was going to need some more wipes, but my kind, considerate husband choked that I was going to need a towel instead.

We were up for the day, I got my shower early, and Bryce was a happy baby.  Isn't that what's important?? Only now that I look back on the moment!
